Athens, wow what an amazing place.
I love traveling to these historical places. Another one of our cradle of civilizations I have been lucky enough to visit.
We arrived late to our apartment we rented from Airbnb and when we arrived our host was so very pleasant.
She was giving us the tour of the 4 bedroom house we rented and she would stop every so often and say how shocked she was and she wished she had a camera with her to take a photo of me as I looked exactly like her father when he was younger.
We were in the good books instantaneously 🙂
I can add it to the list of other countries like Spain, Italy, Mexico where the locals think I’m a local.
It was hot, real hot. 40 plus degrees and all the concrete didn’t help. The day we decided to hike up to the top of the Parthenon was the hottest day there
The history of the buildings and the country itself is mind boggling.
The people were very friendly.
