Venice…ahhh Venice

Venice Italy

Venice…ahhh Venice

I often hear that you only need to spend a few days in Venice….rubbish. I loved Venice. I could easily have stayed a week. We stayed away from the Saint Marcos Square and near the university. An area where the locals live. I would highly recommend that. The prices where so much more affordable and the vibe was very laid back.  My love of Aperol Spritz as an aperitivo started here. I was traveling a few days on my own before I arrived in Venice to meet Mona and I was in a pretty chill mood. She was excited to have just arrived in Italy from Vancouver and after we settled into our hotel room she insisted we catch the sunset in Saint Marcos Square, I was ok with just chilling out in the room for a bit. I’m so glad she talked me into it as that was the most amazing sunset we saw in Venice.
